RestonTech offers a variety of technical services, that can be summarized into three categories:

Infrastructure and Security
We have considerable experience designing networks, from small home offices to multiple site enterprises. We build, secure, and manage web, mail, DNS and other servers for many of our customers. We also design and build local and remote backup systems, including "hot" multiple site redundancy. Our clients with multiple offices have secured VPNs between sites, as well as encrypted remote access to their offices (all HIPPA compliant). RestonTech provides secured, managed T1 lines, or can secure existing internet connections (including cable, DSL, or wireless access).

Security and reliability are always the primary considerations in our approach to all projects. Firewalls and gateways are configured with a separate network (DMZ) for wireless clients and servers. Wireless gateways and clients are co-ordinated for compatablility, ensuring the use of the highest grade encryption.

RestonTech programmers love a challenge! Many of the projects we undertake are special limited purpose programming jobs that leverage our infrastructure and our approach to solving problems. We can often design elegant and effective solutions to complex problems, usualy after our clients have been told a idea is "impossible" or "impractical".

These projects often involve combinining our expertise in many areas, from network design to sophisticated DNS setups. As always, security and reliability guide our approach... our systems continue to "tick", months and years after being deployed, often with little or no maintenance.
Hosted Applications and Services
We don't just build it, and program it, and design it— we host it and operate it, too. Most of our internet based projects and systems are hosted in our secure facility in Ashburn, Virginia. Our systems are directly connected to the internet's primary backbones, with almost unlimited bandwidth available. We provide:
- Out-sourced corporate email
- Niche Web Hosting (including secure e-commerce)
- Telephone (VOIP) service
- Remote Backup Services
- On-site Network Support

RestonTech uses a wide range of hardware and software. We have deployed systems developed from open source software, as well as proprietary systems. Most of our projects involve a mix of many protocols and programs from different sources. Our clients run Windows, Linux, BSD (OpenBSD and FreeBSD), and Solaris. Our servers are primarily FreeBSD and OpenBSD, and our staff uses Windows XP, Apple OS/X, and Linux desktops.
